Hey, have you managed to get it to work? I couldn’t do it either, but I think it’s cos the ATV3 I borrowed for testing was reporing the OS version as 5.0 and it wouldn’t update. I have a late 2010 iMac (i3)
This is one of the main reaons I want an ATV, but if mirroring isn’t supported, it’s pointless.

i just talked to the apple guys and you need to have a iOS developers license as well as a mac devolopers license…. and you need special apple tv software

It seems not all Macs capable of running 10.8 are supported (yet?)
