I have an apple tv 2. i was trying to jail break and i pressed the boot tethered option. Now when i put it on the tv it doesnt come on. What do I have to do in order to make it untethered or how can i use it tethered?

wow. i just did the update. all worked… but i only have computer / fire core icons… THAT’S it!!! help!!!

I need some help. I want to do an untethered jailbreak of ATV2. When I look at the specs under ABOUT on the ATV interface, it says that I am running 5.0 (4099). Can I use the Seas0nPass AppleTV2,1_5.0_9B206f_restore.ipsw file?

Can someone explain what the benefit of jail breaking your apple tv is? And what’s the difference between tethered and untethered versions of this? Sorry for the novice level questions. Thanks

I’m currently on the tethered jailbreak. Is there a quick and easy way to convert it to an untethered jailbreak, or do I need to restore and rejailbreak?
